At RIVIAM, we're dedicated to driving positive change through sustainability, inclusivity and wellbeing. Our commitment extends beyond digital innovation to creating a lasting social and environmental impact.
Fighting climate change
We're committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030 and actively measure and reduce our carbon footprint.
By using energy-efficient technology and cloud-based services, we minimise environmental impact while promoting sustainable digital transformation. We help our customers fight climate change by offering digital services that eliminate the need for paper and enable information to securely flow across systems.
On the Website Carbon Calculator, our website proudly holds a carbon rating A and generates just 0.17g of CO2 per visit, at the time of testing. This is cleaner than 83% of all webpages globally. We’re committed to ongoing improvements to the new website as part of our dedication to sustainability, supporting a greener future for our community and planet.

Equal opportunity
Championing diversity and inclusion by adopting fair recruitment practices, we ensure job descriptions are inclusive and conducting broad searches for talent.
Each year, we support 6th form and college students through work experience programmes.
We take all our employees needs into account and make adjustments to our office and online resources to make their work experience as comfortable and accessible as possible.
In an industry where women are still underrepresented, at RIVIAM our talented female staff are driving change for our customers. We're committed to supporting a future where more women thrive in tech.
RIVIAM is also an organisation where different personalities, nationalities and cultures come together to make a difference. Did you know we have employees from Brazil, Vietnam, Venezuela, Chile, Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, the US and England working in our Bath-based office?
Learning and development
At RIVIAM, we believe that investing in people is one of the most valuable contributions we can make. We actively support our staff to develop their skills, confidence and professional expertise throughout their careers.
This includes funding and encouraging access to training courses, degrees, professional qualifications and professional body memberships. We want our colleagues to keep learning, stay up to date with best practice and build the knowledge they need to grow in their roles and progress their careers.
We also support learning opportunities for young people and those exploring future careers. This includes offering placement and work experience opportunities for young people and internships for those looking to gain practical experience in a professional environment.
By supporting both our staff and the next generation of talent, we aim to create long-term social value through skills development, career progression and access to meaningful workplace experience.
Modern slavery and ethical labour
As part of our commitment to responsible business practices, we are dedicated to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations. We adhere to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement, which outlines the steps we take to identify, assess and mitigate modern slavery risks.
You can view our latest Modern Slavery Statement here.

Wellbeing
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to support our team's wellbeing, both at work and beyond.
A happy workplace is a productive one and our office dogs play a big part in that. Our friendly four-legged colleagues bring joy, reduce stress and create a relaxed, welcoming environment.
We also encourage everyone to take time outside, enjoy the nearby green spaces and River Avon and prioritise their wellbeing. A little fresh air, some tail wags and a supportive culture go a long way in making RIVIAM a great place to work.
Commitment to our community
Supporting our local community is important to us. Our team contribute to community initiatives, such as food bank donations and local charity support. For Christmas last year, we collected food for the Bath Foodbank and donated £250 to local charity, Mentoring Plus, a charity dedicated to supporting young people in our community by providing mentoring, guidance and opportunities to help them thrive. In the past we have supported Age UK BaNES, Bath Mind and Bath Area Play Project.
Since 2025, RIVIAM is the Gold Corporate Patron for Bath Philharmonia. As part of their Creative Learning Programme, Bath Phil works with young carers from across the South West as well as school aged children from Bath and beyond.

Our employees have been fundraising for Mentoring Plus since early 2025. Our first fundraising event was a cake sale on Sunday 26 May 2025, featuring homemade treats from our team and delicious donations from local bakeries. We raised £313.50 in just three hours! Read more about the event here. We have provided them with a tech kit and volunteer for them. This year, our support is only growing with a Charity Comedy Night on 12 June.
In addition to supporting charities as a team, we actively encourage individual contributions by offering each employee one paid day per month to volunteer with a non-profit or cause they personally care about. We believe in empowering our people to make a difference in the communities that matter to them.

Social value in NHS contract delivery
RIVIAM works with NHS, health, social care and VCSE organisations to create social value that benefits patients, staff and communities. Our digital platforms help services communicate more easily, reduce paper, cut down on unnecessary travel and give people greater choice and control over how they access care. By supporting online forms, digital letters, and appointment management, we help make services more convenient, inclusive and environmentally responsible. We also work with our partners to understand local priorities, such as improving patient experience, widening access, reducing health inequalities and supporting greener care pathways, so that the value we create is meaningful, measurable and relevant to the communities they serve.
