Strengthening our community: Supporting Mentoring Plus in 2025
13 March 2025
RIVIAM is committed to social value and prioritises employee wellbeing. We believe that a healthy and supported team helps build a stronger community. That’s why, at the end of last year, we gave our employees the opportunity to choose which charity they would support in the coming year. The decision was overwhelmingly clear, with over 70% voting for Mentoring Plus. We are excited to enhance our support for this incredible organisation. Alongside our Christmas donation, our employees have set our goal to raise at least £1,000 by the end of the year.

About Mentoring Plus
Mentoring Plus is a charity dedicated to supporting young people in our community by providing mentoring, guidance and opportunities to help them thrive. Their work is vital in empowering young individuals to build confidence, develop valuable skills and navigate their futures.

Strengthening our partnership
Wednesday, 5th February, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ruth Brown, Community and Relationships Lead at Mentoring Plus, to our office. This visit was a fantastic opportunity to share insights into our work at RIVIAM while also learning more about the life-changing impact of Mentoring Plus. Ruth’s passion and dedication to the cause left us inspired and even more committed to supporting their mission.

Experiencing the impact firsthand
On Monday, 10th February, our colleagues Matheus, Phil and Cato attended a Mentoring Plus event where they witnessed firsthand the incredible work being done. One particularly moving moment was hearing a testimonial from a young woman whose life had been transformed by Mentoring Plus. She shared how the mentorship program gave her the guidance and encouragement she needed to pursue her dreams. She now has a bright future ahead of her.

How you can get involved
If you’re interested in learning more about Mentoring Plus, becoming a mentor or making a donation, you can find all the information on their website. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of young people who need guidance and encouragement to reach their full potential.

Our fundraising efforts
We are currently brainstorming creative fundraising ideas and encouraging all of our employees to get involved in the various activities they will be organising throughout the year. From charity runs to bake sales and sponsored challenges, we’re looking forward to coming together as a team to make a meaningful impact.
If you would like to sponsor us, make sure to follow us on LinkedIn for updates on our fundraising initiatives and events, as well as how you can donate. We’ll be sharing our progress, celebrating milestones, and highlighting the fantastic contributions of our team and supporters.
We are so excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to make a difference together. Let’s do this!
